I hope this email finds you well.
Please find an email below from Ms. Ryan outlining the activities Scoil Mhuire Mount Sackville will be engaging in for Active School’s week next week.
There will be lots of fun active challenges including active walkway activities, daily mile, run around Ireland challenge, Irish Heart foundation busy breaks and even a whole school outdoor dance challenge. Colm, our GAA coach has also sent us an active daily challenge which you will find below.
We encourage you to fill out the pupil challenge chart during the week with your child and have fun being active.
Scoil Mhuire encourages physical activity not only as part of Active Schools Flag but also as part of our Amber Flag values which promote positive mental health and well being amongst our school community.
Stay safe and well everyone.
Ms. O’ Kelly
I hope that this email finds you well.
Next week is Active School Week (26th – 29th April) in Scoil Mhuire. Each class will be taking part in the Active Every Day Challenge. Teachers and pupils will choose three different ways to energise the school day. Some of these activities will include Run Around Ireland Challenge and active learning outdoors.
As part of Active School week, parents / guardians are asked to find two other ways to be active after school, every day. Below, I have attached some ideas for physical activities that the girls may like to do at home. The girls should record these activities on their Pupil Challenge Chart throughout the week.
Throughout Active School Week, the girls are permitted to wear their school tracksuits and they will have no written homework as it is replaced with physical activity throughout the week. Please find attached some ideas for the Active at Home activities.
Hopefully the girls will enjoy the fun challenges!
