Connecting in Scoil Mhuire

Dear Parents,

I hope this email finds you and your family well. I hope to email out all the school report cards tomorrow. I would be very grateful if you can click confirm receipt at the bottom of the email when you receive the report card tomorrow. 

Scoil Mhuire is delighted with the enthusiasm and dedication of its pupils with their work since school closure. It has been wonderful to see pupils engaging with their teachers and peers on their weekly work sheet, Seesaw and Twitter. We are aware that the children are missing their friends so we have come up with a way for them to connect with everyone before the end of the school year. I am attaching the words to a very appropriate song “It’s a beautiful day” by the singing walrus. It’s available to watch on youtube on the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iw8FddccIkQ I know all the girls in Scoil Mhuire are wonderful singers and if they wish to send a photo/short video of themselves singing or dancing to part of the song we will compile them together for the school website. They may also like to upload their photo/video to the school twitter account to share. Participation in this video is not compulsory but we thought it might be a nice way to connect before end of term.

The last few months have been a very difficult time for everyone but like the song mentioned above highlights there will be many beautiful days ahead in Scoil Mhuire where we as a school community will return again to happier times. I want to thank you all for your patience and support throughout the last few months. It has been greatly appreciated.. I will be in contact about how we aim to reopen in the autumn  once guidelines have been given to the school and the Board of Management has had a chance to review them. I reassure you that health and safety of all will always be our priority concern. I hope you all continue to keep safe and well. I will be in touch again soon.
