Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our Active School Team have been working hard all year under the guidance of Ms. O’ Connor arranging different types of physical activity experiences for our pupils with the view of achieving Scoil Mhuire’s first ever Active Flag as well as keeping them fit and healthy. One of the pieces of work we had to do was organise our Active School Week which was being held nationally this year on April 27th-May 3rd. However, because of Covid 19 restrictions, we have been asked to organise “Active Home Week” next week instead, so we need your help and cooperation.
Attached is a letter from the Active School Flag organisation, ideas for activities to keep children active (all within a 2km distance) and a challenge card that can be filled in online and emailed back to the school email at the end of next week.
I don’t want this to add to your stress levels but it might be a bit of fun. The reason we need your help is if we don’t get at least 50% family involvement we can’t complete this part of our flag application. It would be nice to have something to celebrate next school year also.
Once again, take care and stay safe (and active!).
Kind regards,
Ms. O’ Kelly
Principal
