Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope this email finds you well. Please find attached letter from Minister Norma Foley for parents.
It is wonderful to see the interaction on Seesaw between the teachers and pupils so far this week. The staff will continue to upload audio and video recordings to Seesaw to explain teaching content and concepts to pupils as well as give feedback on their work submitted. The weekly work plan will continue to be uploaded on Seesaw at the beginning of every week.
From next week the teachers from 1st-6th class will be doing a weekly Zoom check in with their class also. When you agree to accept a zoom invitation you agree to the following protocols:
a) That you will download and access the relevant Zoom software on the remote device and location that you will be using for the zoom check in and familiarise yourself with its functions, in advance of the zoom check in
(b) That you give consent for the teacher to contact you on the contact number provided on the school records in the event of any technical difficulties occurring during the zoom check in
(c) That the zoom check in will not be recorded by any party using audio, video or other means. Each person’s participation in the zoom check in is conditional upon such prohibition of recording, irrespective of the purpose or any intended use of such a recording, personal or otherwise.
(d) To confirm, at the outset, that you are participating on your own in the zoom check in without the possibility of being over-heard or recorded at any stage.
(e) To click into the zoom check in at the time assigned to you by the class teacher.
As I said in my previous email there is no pressure on any pupil to complete all activities and work set by the class teacher. We encourage all families to complete only what they can manage in their given situation. Scoil Mhuire Mount Sackville will continue to ensure that pupil’s learning and well-being is maintained throughout the current school closure.
I hope you and all your family continue to keep safe and well at this time.
Kind Regards,
Ms. O’ Kelly
